This lesson gives kids at chance to challenge themselves at naming the place value of numbers. I used it after we covered place value lesson in the classroom as prep for the assessment. It is nice because they can work at in pairs or independently their own pace.

Lesson Two: Human Body

This website is a fun way to incorporate technology into a lesson. Students logon and perform a virtual surgery on a patient. Before being allowed into surgery they have to do routine things done in a hospital like review charts, mark the proper arm/leg that needs surgery. It gives them real life examples of how doctors and hospitals operate while they are learning about the human body.

Lesson Three: Ecosystems Wequest

This lesson is a good way to teach an ecosystems unit. Students work in groups of three to complete the task of the webquest. They use technology to research their ecosystem and then also use technology to present their findings to the class via powerpoint/smartboard etc.
